StoveTec

StoveTec is the exclusive distributor of GreenFire™ improved cook stoves. The improved rocket stove design was developed by Dr. Larry Winiarski at Aprovecho Research Center, located in Oregon. The goal is to provide the world with an economical and efficient cook stove that was durable, reduced emissions, and uses minimal fuel. The performance of GreenFire stoves has been validated in field and laboratory testing. Numerous international aid organizations, charities, disaster relief groups, individual cooks, outdoor recreation enthusiasts, or those looking for sustainable off the grid survival type products, have all expressed interest in our improved biomass cook stoves.

StoveTec cook stoves have been utilized in stove projects throughout Africa, Asia, and South America, where folks depend on biomass fuel like wood and charcoal. Our stoves are eligible for carbon credit approved projects. GreenFire stoves feature an efficient ceramic combustion chamber, cast iron top, painted metal stove body, rugged handles, steel stick support, adjustable metal pot skirt, and shipping carton. Studies have shown our stove design reduces biomass fuel use, reduces air pollution, and significantly emit less gases and particulate matter that contribute to global warming.

StoveTec is also the exclusive distributor for Emissions Solutions designed by Aprovecho Research Center. These include:

-The Portable Emissions Measurement System (PEMS), a portable laboratory that captures the gases (CO, CO2) and smoke (PM) during stove tests. The PEMS displays emission levels in real time, helping people to develop better stoves. It calculates total emissions of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and particulate matter released during a cooking task, and can also be used to measure methane and other greenhouse gases.

-The Indoor Air Pollution Meter (IAPM) , a compact unit that can placed in the room or worn by a cook to measure the levels of gas and smoke (CO and PM) exposure when cooking.  This state of the art equipment was designed to help people ensure that stoves really clean up the air in a kitchen when used in the real world.
